IISER undergraduate admission for the year 2022-23 is closed.


Last allotment for IISER Berhampur

Last allotment for a few seats in IISER Berhampur is open today on the application portal. This offer must be accepted by 8 PM today. Candidates are requested to decide well in time. Deadline will not be extended.


Revised eleventh round allotment

Revised admission offers to fill vacancies in IISER Berhampur and Tirupati will be available today on the application portal. Last date for acceptance of the offer is 11 PM on 17.11.2022. Candidates are requested to decide well in time. Deadline will not be extended.


Changes to the seat allocation made on 9.11.2022

We regret to inform that due to technical / software induced errors, some of the vacant seats (incorrectly) allocated after the 10th round for IISER Tirupati and Berhampur on 9.11.2022 will be scrapped. Messages have been sent to the affected candidates. New seat allocations will be conveyed to the selected candidates. Rank matrix will be updated on the admission website after corrections are applied.

Last day to apply through JEE / KVPY channel

The JEE / KVPY channel application process will close at 10 PM on 15.9.2022. This deadline will not be extended. Interested candidates are advised to apply in time.


For KVPY / JEE Channel applicants

Application portal for KVPY / JEE channel is currently open. Candidates must carefully choose their category and IISER preferences. Once the application is submitted, these choices will be regarded as final and will be frozen. They cannot be changed later under any circumstances.


Close of second round of admission offers

Last date for deciding on the 2nd round admission offers is TODAY 10.09.2022 at 10 PM. This deadline will not be extended. To avoid last minute technical issues, candidates are strongly advised to take action in time.


JEE/KVPY channel admission

IISER undergraduate admission through KVPY / JEE channel will open tomorrow (11.09.2022) at 10 AM. Apply through the application portal. If you have not yet registered, please register here. Last date for applying is 15.09.2022. Check the KVPY / JEE eligibility rules before applying.


Second round admission / allotment

KVPY channel eligibility for 2022

Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship (in the main merit list) commencing from 2022-23 academic session are eligible to apply for admissions.

Candidates in the extended KVPY merit list are not eligible. KVPY-SB candidates who did not join any institution in 2021 are also not eligible to apply. When you login into the application portal, before you apply, you can check your eligibility using your KVPY roll number.

JEE channel eligibility for 2022

Candidates should have qualified in the JEE (Advanced) in the year 2022, AND should have a rank within 15000 in the common merit list (for GEN/OBC) or in the respective category rank lists (GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD). Those who qualified JEE (advanced) in any year other than 2022 are not eligible. Candidates with JEE (Adv) preparatory ranks are not eligible.


Close of first round admission offers

Last date for accepting admission offers is 31.08.2022 at 10 PM. Note that this deadline will not be extended. To avoid last minute technical issues, candidates are strongly advised to take action in time.


Important announcement

Unintended errors due to a software glitch were fixed. After fixing errors, a small number of candidates might see changes to their IISER allocation. These candidates have been informed through email about the changes.

All application information frozen

Earlier, a two-day opportunity was given to all the candidates (information conveyed through email) to change their category (in case they had made an error), or IISER preferences. With the publication of results, the choices made by candidates stand frozen. No further changes are admissible in either the category or IISER preference.

First round of admission offer

Following the publication of results, first round of provisional admission offers will be made on 23.8.2022.

IAT-2022 results will be available on the application portal from 12.00 noon onwards.

Last chance to modify IISER preferences

Candidates who have written IAT-2022 AND if they wish to modify their preference of IISERs, they can do so. The application portal will be open for this purpose from 10 AM on 8.8.2022 to 11:55 PM on 9.8.2022. This is the last opportunity for preference changes.


Final answer key

Final answer key for IAT-2022 is published.

Candidates can access it by logging into their accounts. It will be available until 30.7.2022.


Portal open for category changes

The application portal will be open only for those who have written IAT-2022 to change their category (General, OBC, OBC-NCL, KM, SC/ST, EWS, PwD) if they have made an incorrect choice earlier.

The portal will be open from 26th July 2022, 10 AM to 27th July 2022, 11.55 PM.

No further opportunity will be given for a change of category under any circumstances. Candidates must submit a category certificate for their choice of cateogory (except for General category). A valid category certificate is a pre-requisite for admission. Any change in fee arising due to change of category must be paid by the candidates later.


Important

The admission portal now has two new tabs after you login.

  • The "Candidate Response" tab contains the provisional answer key and the candidates chosen options.
  • The "SCB Objection" tab contains the Objection form to be filled by the candidate in the event of any objection to the answer key.

These options will be available between 10 AM on 18th July to 11.55 PM on 20th July.

IAT-2022 at Silchar centre

IAT-2022 at Silchar centre in Assam will be held on 9.7.2022 (Saturday) from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Candidates can download their hall tickets by logging into their account.


IAT 2022 timings

IISER Aptitude Test will be on July 3, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Candidates must report at the exam centre latest by 1.30 PM.


Hall tickets for IAT-2022

Hall tickets for IAT-2022 will be available for download on 26.6.2022 from 3 PM onwards.


Corrections in application form

If you have already applied for IAT-2022 and wish to correct/change any of the following details, you can do so from

11 AM on 17.6.2022 until 5.00 PM on 18.6.2022.

The personal details (such as name, category etc.) and choice of exam centre CANNOT be changed.

Following details can be changed or supporting documents replaced :


  • Category/Caste Certificate
  • Photo ID
  • 10th Class Marksheet
  • 12th Class Marksheet
  • PwD Certificate
  • Kashmiri Migrant Certificate
  • OCI/NRI/PIO/Foreign National Document
  • IISER Preferences 1 to 9

Note : The candidate can correct consistent with the choices they have made earlier. For example, if a candidate has selected "General Category", he/she will not be able to add/edit Category Document and vice versa.

Also, if a candidate had already selected that Maths was not a subject in his/her 12th standard, then he/she will be able to select only 7 IISER preferences instead of 9 for candidates with maths.


Important

Applicants will be given the opportunity to correct errors in the submitted application form before the deadline passes. Please watch this space and the application page regularly in case you would like to modify your application.


The application portal for JEE and KVPY applicants will open at a later date. The current application portal is only for those who are applying from the SCB channel.

Registration of IAT will commence from 25th May 2022 at 3 PM.

The Registration portal will close on 15th June 2022 at 11:59 PM.
